33 weeks

LBC is only growing ever more active and his “sweet” little pushes and kicks are only making me ever more uncomfortable lol. This is the part of pregnancy where I really am not the same as a lot of women who “enjoy being pregnant”. I see maternity photos of women who are as far along as me in grass strewn fields, covered in rays of sunshine, with great big smiles and I just think, “Seriously?!!!!” hahaha Oh and I am definitely one hot mama this week, and not in a good way— everything from feeling too hot all the time and my ever rising sour temperament… pray for my hubby and kids and what they are having to go through with me in these crazy stages of pregnancy :/

32 weeks

32 weeks! Woo hoo! We also had our 32 week appt yesterday and final ultrasound… LBC is actually at a higher weight at 4.10lbs (placing him in the 63rd percentile). I hope he only grows as big as his 8-pounder brothers!

30 weeks

I wish I could welcome this new milestone and say I’m better but while the fever is now gone, my throat has been on fire since Tuesday night. Had my 30 week appt yesterday with the ob/gyn but all she could say was the virus in my throat that would normally last a few days (for someone with their immune system not being shared by another growing person), will more than likely last one or two weeks for me. Suffice it to say I am not a happy camper this past week, haha and my voice is now down to a whisper.

Good news is the baby is doing fine in all of this. The doctor says I’m actually helping him build up his immune system so I’m really grateful for the bright side :)

Good taste

James is still sick so he’s staying home from school one more day (we let him go yesterday but they called us to get him right after lunch).

It’s 7:44am right now and I can faintly hear that he’s turned on his TV. I can also make out that he’s watching “I Love Lucy”. I couldn’t be prouder.

:) :) :)

In other news, I’m still feverish as well and my coughing has worsened. I have my prenatal appointment tomorrow (I’m now at the third trimester so my appointments are now every two weeks) so I’ll be asking the doctor how this is affecting the Little Bean. I’ve only been taking tylenol for the fever pains and drinking lots of decaf tea with honey for the coughing and sore throat. I really hope I can get over this soon. Life and work doesn’t stop just because I’m sick unfortunately.

Chris hasn’t stopped coughing but they are less and less, and Logan has not caught anything (I pray hard it stays that way).

almost fainted but not quite…

This morning after my shower I felt very lacking of energy. I mean, just standing there and combing out my hair felt like I was at the end of a mile long run and pushing myself to finish the very last bit even if all I wanted to do was stop running.

So I finished getting dressed and headed downstairs for some water and as I stood at the fridge drinking from my glass, this huge rush of light-headedness immediately wooshed over me and luckily James was in the next room so I said, “tell Daddy to come downstairs quick!”

I rushed myself over to the couch meanwhile, glass in my rapidly shaking hand, for fear of me just falling over and fainting if I continued to stand there.

It was a terrible, awful, frightful feeling to sit there on the couch with this crazy weight on top of my head, feeling like something was pushing me down. Chris ran to me and I said I need to eat something quickly so he thought of waffles and stuck one in the toaster, lol. I just held it like a piece of bread after it was done toasting and ate it up but it only helped a little.

I ended up laying down on the couch and actually falling asleep for a good 15-20 minutes.

We both concluded that it was probably due to my very light dinner I had last night, coupled with the very hot shower I took this morning… I’m praying that was really it and nothing to do with anything harmful to the baby.

We have an ultrasound appointment this coming Tuesday so I’ll be sure to tell the doctor about this when I see her.

About

I need a place where I can go
Where I can whisper what I know...
Where I can make my plans
And write them down
So I can read them

A place where I can
bid my heart be still
And it will mind me
A place where I can go
when I am lost
And there I'll find me

I need a place to spend the day
Where no one says to go or stay
Where I can take my pen and
Draw the girl
I mean to be
